One moment of unexpected kindness
One day when I was walking down the street back in New Orleans, I saw a man and I didn't know who he was. He stopped me and said "how are you doing today", this caught me off guard but that day i got into an argument with some family members and i took a walk. As I responded to the question I said "not very good today" and I explained to him what happened. He asked me a question, he said "if you could go back and choose a new family would you?". I thought about it and I said no, that's when he gave me $100 and said buy something for your family big or sum it up to you.
Today in class we went over another poem and analysed it the poem was about how valuable life is, and how nothing lasts forever.
One thing that I learned from the poem we read was that nothing lasts forever, it really opened my eyes about how short life is. Another thing I learned is to cherish the things that you have while it's here because it could all go away in an instant.
